Michelle Benavides, LEED AP BD+C
As the Executive Director of The International Society of Sustainability Professionals, Michelle, leads the world’s leading professional association for sustainability practitioners, empowering them to advance sustainability in organizations and communities around the globe. As a business leader, international trainer, and strategic community-builder, she works to pave the way for every individual to engage in sustainability development. As a LEED AP BD+C-credentialed high-performance buildings educator, U.S. Green Buildings Council faculty member, and Fitwel Ambassador, she trained more than 2,000 professionals worldwide by delivering on-demand courses and in-person sessions, before joining ISSP in February 2022. In her community-building work, she has represented ASHRAE, USGBC, IDEAS for Us, and other organizations to teach sustainability fundamentals.

Ann-Christine Duhaime, MD
Encompassing the realms of medicine, neuroscience, climate science, and biophilic design, Dr. Duhaime,’s work resides at critical intersections of the brain, climate change, healthcare sustainability, and environmental behavior change. She is a senior pediatric neurosurgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Director of the Center for the Environment and Health. Additionally, Dr. Duhaime is the Nicholas T. Zervas Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School and Faculty Associate of the Harvard University Center for the Environment. She is also the author of Minding the Climate, which investigates the neuroscience of decision-making and how that poses a challenge when it comes to changing our behavior and our consumer tendencies, in the face of climate change.
